Seeing the momentum build like this leaves me genuinely stunned because I simply started this to voice a frustration I thought I was facing alone. Please know that this movement belongs to all of you who found the courage to speak up about your own experiences.

The inconsistent teaching along with unclear assessment with minimal word count has been reflected in the appalling marks of tentative committed students. Not to mention the degrading comments including the questioning of Endorsed Enrolled Nurses academic skills. This issue was brought to ACU through student evaluations from semester 1 and not one single thing has been improved for the students in semester 2. Grades effect many aspects of nursing students career and when a grade does not reflect the students knowledge nor assignment it cannot be ignored. The comparison of these marks to every other subject speaks for itself.

To provide so many students with a PA/CR/DI/HD for the essay outline only for them to receive a PA/NN for their final mark is misleading. Failure to provide constructive criticism is negligent. Perhaps if they had provided appropriate constructive criticism for our outline, students may have produced work of the markers standards.

Although my mark was fair, I received disparaging comments on my feedback. This feedback does not foster a positive learning experiences.

This semester has been full of confusion and inconsistency. The comments received by students were truly appalling and unacceptable. I was shocked that so many students had received low grades despite their solid efforts during the semester.

This semester has been a very confusing one with inconsistent marking and let me feeling as if I don't know what I have even got out of it. I have attended my classes, done my assignments and watched lectures yet I am still scratching my head over the content. I also felt completely belittled and discouraged over comments on one assignment. I am so keen to become a nurse and it is subjects like this that are very discouraging!

Here's hoping that this petition, even if it does nothing to change the outcomes of semester, means that future students won't have to endure this subject and the way it's taught.

I passed this assignment but only just meeting the rquired mark to pass. I have said from day one that the unit was miss guided and very unclear as to what is requried from students. I am signing beacuse clearly something needs to change if a majority of the unit is getting below average marks when in other subject they are excelling and recieving good feedback regarding assignments. In particular one comment made to a student sugested that she must have come from a Diploma due to her poor academic skills, I find that not only insulting to those who have sucessfully completed a Diploma but a generally rue and un profession comment period. Considering the leavel of direction given for this unit I feel it may as well have been an online unit..

I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism presented by the Lecturer in Charge of NRSG259 in Semester 1, 2014. I would like to voice my story to advocate for the future Bachelor of Nursing students who will be presented with this unjust LIC should she be reinstated in this role in 2015. Assignment one (the guide for writing your main essay) was returned to me so late that I had less than a week to write my entire essay. I was then denied an extension for my essay. I was called into the LIC’s office to be lectured on my decision to take my concerns further post my choice of contacting the course coordinator. I felt it was highly unethical for the LIC to voice her disapproval of my contact with the course coordinator. As students, our rights are to voice our concerns should we feel we are treated unfairly and this should not be frowned upon should we choose to do so. I felt it was my only option after not receiving my feedback and it was only once the course coordinator was contacted that I finally received my feedback and was able to commence my essay writing. I am now disappointed to hear that none of my constructive feedback submitted in my unit evaluations at the end of Semester 1 has been acknowledged. Students in Semester 2 are going through the same issues with the same Lecturer in charge. It seems as if we are encouraged so much by the higher authorities to complete our evaluations however at the level where they can be used to construct improvement they are not being taken seriously. On further support of the disorganization of this LIC but which did not effect me emotionally and academically to the extend of my previously mentioned struggles, our mindmap was lost at one point and the LIC submitted another student’s Assignment into my dropbox on turn-it-in in LEO. I am not one to usually voice my opinion when faced with such struggles in life however am passionate when I hear that fellow students have ben treated with the same lack of respect that I
