We are a small group of volunteers wishing to help the animals of Jackson County Alabama. Currently our local shelter will not allow volunteering in the shelter such as walking, playing with, and bathing the animals. They claim that it is because of liability reasons. We understand the inherent risk and are willing to sign a waiver, releasing them from all liability, should any accident occur in their facility. Many shelters across the state and nation use such a process and we would like to get this approved for our community.
