Amarillo Water Bill Correction
We the undersigned are concerned citizens who have experienced what we deem to be INACCURATE water charges for the billing period of 7/16/19 through 8/19/19. Many have experienced a DOUBLE in the reported number of gallons utilized while having been absent from our respective homes for much of the month in question, and thus knowingly utilized even less than the usual amount of water. (See attached supporting testimonials from citizens.)
A water line is known to have burst in the vicinity earlier in the month, and it is believed by many that the city water department is attempting to recuperate monies lost in that incident by overcharging the citizens. We demand that our outrageous, false readings for the month be rectified by adjusting the citizens’ bills according the the prior month’s usage numbers.
