the city finally agreed to adjust those crazy water bills and they are issuing credits back to everyone. im honestly so relieved that they listened to us and did the right thing. keep an eye on your account statements just to make sure the fix shows up correctly.

A water line is known to have burst in the vicinity earlier in the month, and it is believed by many that the city water department is attempting to recuperate monies lost in that incident by overcharging the citizens. We demand that our outrageous, false readings for the month be rectified by adjusting the citizens’ bills according the the prior month’s usage numbers.

I live in the woodlands area and a water pipe did burst right next to the fire station and it just poured for hours. Same month my water bill doubled and now it’s back to normal range
We have lived in our home in Sleepy Hollow for 24 years. We have never received a water bill near $200. Our bill for the time mentioned in this petition was $295.00. There are only two people living in our home. No way this reading was accurate.
I was charged for 37000 gals when I was out of town 3 weeks . This month I was charged 36000 when I was home all month and using normally . I use more when I am not even here ? No leaks , I was tested by their employee.
For the billing period of 7/16/19 through 8/19/19 my bill increased from 78.72 to 115.46, an increase of 36.74. During this time period the residence was occupied only 7 days, so I was expecting an amount lower than the last.
It is just my husband and I and the last two months water bills are the highest they have ever been since we moved in in 2005. There is no way we use $100 MORE per month now. We don't water our yard but every 2-3 days at 10 min intervals. I have requested a re-read and they tell me it is correct. It is awful!
This keeps happening and happened exactly 1yr ago same amounts. I just got a bill for $400. In fact I just got last years bill paid off .
They came and checked out meter and said nothing was wrong but changes out the merter. What does that say. The bill was just as high the next month. We have watered less this year but paying double. We could let the grass go a long but then how would our city look if everyone does this.

My bill went from average of between 65 to 150. My bill all of a sudden went to over 500 only 2 people live in the home had plumbing checked no leaks. If you drive by city view school in the evening around 8:30 that’s probably what we are paying for! All the messed up sprinklers watering the street!!!
