Alopecia Areata is a medical condition, I have Alopecia since age nine, for over 25 years. It has been a journey for me, very expensive and no help from insurance companies.

The emails I receive from you all about the financial burden of this condition are heavy to carry but they confirm exactly why we began this work. I am spending my evenings reaching out to insurance advocates to see who will actually listen to our case. It is slow and exhausting progress but refusing to give up is the only path forward.

Insurance coverage for alopecia is way overdue. It costs a fortune just to feel normal.
About time someone did something about this. My insurance company denied me 3 times. So frustrating.
Been dealing with this for 10 years now. It is definitely not just about looks it takes a real toll on your head.
My daughter has this and the cost of wigs is absolutely insane. Insurance needs to step up and stop calling it cosmetic.
Total bs that they wont cover treatments. This is a real medical issue not some vanity project.
