The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy has opened its much anticipated new building that has been in the works for many years; however, the building is only accessible Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) from 7am-6pm due to "security measures." At our previous facility, we were given 24-hour access to 6 modular rooms and the student lounge. We also had access to the 2 lecture halls with room reservations. Currently, only 4 modular rooms are available, with 2 breakout rooms containing the printers, microwaves, and refrigerators. Due to limited room availability, study space is even more condensed. As pharmacy students, we put in countless hours to studying for our classes and exams to better prepare ourselves to be successful future healthcare providers. The current status of the building does not accommodate the 200+ students that are on campus, actively studying or participating in activities that further our community outreach and school presence.

Please help us further our education by signing this petition! It is disheartening that these are the necessary steps needed to secure a consistent, safe, and usable study environment for my classmates, but it is of vital importance for the betterment of future pharmacists who graduate from our institution. We appreciate all the help we can get!
