Please consider the needs of the petitioners and the quality of education you can provide. They, obviously, feel there is need to improve the resources available to them. Please do all you can do to insure they get all they deserve so as to guaranty they have the best chance to be stellar graduates from the program.

What is the purpose of closing down the building at 6PM? I'm not a student but I strongly support their use of the building at night to study.

Isn't it the exact purpose of this building (not to mention all of the efforts by many across the state) to expand the opportunities for greater learning? Limiting the access to this new building flies in the face of all common sense. Expand the hours and expand the minds.

I heard that more of the "other" study rooms have been closed due to growning health and safety concerns. When does the administration start factoring that in? I get that Dean Ma is trying to save money so she can make her office bigger (apparently it's too small for a "Dean"), but come on, take care of your students.

Local students pay nearly $24,000 per year and out of state students are probably paying an enormous amount as well, so UH-Hilo still can’t find a solution to hire an security guard to keep the building open 24/7 even during the weekdays and for just the semester? Somethings not right with the management.

I'm not the Dean of this school, but unfortunately I share the same name. How can these students not have full access to their facilities? They are the future, and from what I hear about this schools curriculum, they need all the help they can get. I am very disappointed.

The room chairs are moldy and these are not a safe learning environment. Let them use their own building. The academic demand from pharmaceutical students is a lot already. Don’t make things harder on them by limiting academic growth and study time.

It is ridiculous that students paying this amount of tuition will not have access to this safer, more modern facility to study in but instead have to study in the older, more isolated facility. If administration needs to cough up more for security, they should. Perhaps if they were not subsidizing hospitals & clinics all over the state with free pharmacy personnel, they would have the funds to treat the students fairly.

They should at all cost provide the student with all that is necessary to excel in their studies, if it is 24-hour access to attain their goals in the healthcare profession soo be it!
