A PETITION TO THE NUNATSIAVUT ASSEMBLY TO APPOINT AN INDEPENDENT AUDITOR GENERA
WHEREAS the world is encountering troubling economic times and the Nunatsiavut Government has been hit hard economically;
WHEREAS numerous previously elected official have not kept their promise to appoint an independent Auditor General;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED we, the undersigned Labrador Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries, call upon the Nunatsiavut Assembly to appoint an independent Auditor General who would have full access to all Government financial documents and report publicly on the spending habits of the Nunatsiavut Government and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the independent Auditor General be appointed within 6 months after the next sitting of the Nunatsiavut Assembly.

Transparency now!!!! Enough with the excuses.
About time. Too many promises broken already. We need someone in there to actually check the books properly.
Get it done. We work hard and want to know our government is being honest with the funds.
Its pretty sad that this is even a struggle. Everyone knows we need an independent eye on this.
Fix this mess. Sick of seeing our money wasted while the assembly just keeps stalling.

Its time to stop hiding the spending and show the people where the money actually goes. We deserve better accountability than this.
