I propose a national Adopt a Friend day* (pet adoption day) A day where kids,adult's, and many other people, can learn, play and celebrate animals and there right's. Many shelter's can have gatherings were they show the dogs that may not be as pretty as all the other ones, so they can have a chance to find a permanent home with love and care. *I hope to one day make this day Global.

Great idea. My rescue dog is the best friend I ever had. Everyone should adopt instead of buying from breeders.

Yes!! shelters are so full right now. people need to see that the older dogs or the ones with funny looks have the most love to give.
