Why adopt a dog?
Most pet stores purchase dogs from inhumane puppy mills. Mother and father dogs spend their entire lives in cramped cages with no quality of life. When they can no longer breed they are abandoned or killed. Adopting a dog from a shelter is one way to stop the cruelty of puppy mills. Additionally, by adopting a dog you’ll save their life. Each year in the United States 2.7 million animals are euthanized because they are not adopted. With so many dogs that need a home, you’ll be able to choose exactly what breed, size, color, and temperament to make a perfect fit for your lifestyle. Furthermore, adopting will save you money. Most rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Moreover, most are housetrained, which will save you money on your furniture and save you time not training him or her! Post the link to this petition on your Facebook timeline today to ensure our community knows the truth about puppy mills. Email your city council representative and demand they stop the sale of mill animals in local pet shops.

people need to stop paying store prices for dogs when there are so many sweet ones waiting in shelters right now. its heartbreaking.
Adopt dont shop!! My rescue pup is the best thing that ever happened to me. Puppy mills are pure evil.
