There are a large number of accidents, and traffic back-ups in front of, and on the West side of ONW High School. This area of College Boulevard from Woodland West to Lone Elm is two lane in front of the high school. There are no traffic lights, no right turn lane, or other means to reduce the congestion especially at the times of arrival and dismissal from school.
Two hundred and fifty signatures. It is clear that the community is fed up with the congestion at ONW.

I have traveling to work daily for the past 12 years. With each coming year, the traffic from Woodland to K7 has become a death trap. I know from a first hand basis, my car was totalled in 2011 due to another driver trying to manuever around this congestion and pulled out in front of me. HELP!!!!

The traffic exiting from the school is a disaster! People become impatient and then that's when accidents happen. Put traffic signals in place that become active during hours school begins and school ends.

I have always been concerned about this. When I drove my son , I had a hard time getting out. With my son as a new driver, I am terrified and make him text e every day to let me know he is safe. Please do not let it take a fatality to do the right thing. It's a no-brainer. THanks for listening.

My daughter is still dealing with the consequences of getting hit right before Christmas break. She is going to multiple doctors, multiple times per week. This was a rear end accident that she was just a passenger in the car. It is frustrating to see how this can actually affect a life.

My son had a major accident in from on ONW in 2012. It was all due to traffic and inaequate road. It was an $8000 expense but luckily no injuries! It is a a travesty that this part of College is not widened!!

My daughter will begin driving to school next year and quite frankly this area if Olathe is terrifying. There needs to be more lanes and better traffic control. Please do the traffic study during school months, not during the summer.

We need ONW specific traffic lights for kids and parents to make safe turns out of the school.
