The Boundary where Huntington Beach Starts on Brookhurst is not identified by any Welcome to Huntington Beach Surf City USA Sign. This point is at Garfield and Brookhurst and is just 3.5 miles to the beach. The route is taken by a large volume of people and the excitement of knowing they have reached Surf City should be clearly identified. A Welcome sign is absent and needs to be put in place and help residents to shop locally in their own city. As the sales tax increase in the neighboring City makes Huntington Beach that much more attractive., The photograph shows the requested signage which is already in place in other parts of Huntington Beach. The Welcome sign is needed for a long ignored but important gateway to the Surf City.

I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum behind this idea since I never imagined so many people cared about this gateway. This progress belongs entirely to all of you who noticed the missing sign. I am honestly just honored to be part of such a passionate group.

A welcome sign always puts one automatically into their own welcoming state of mind. I would "welcome" one there!!!
Living right here on Brookhurst, it would be really nice to have a proper welcome when coming home. About time!!
