The re-designation we seek applies to planning areas "A" and "B" in the map below. The area owned by the City of Pismo represents an opportunity to build a community garden, playground, sculpture park, dog park, etc.
Our goal is to change the designation from the current "open space" (weeds) to low density residential and allow the current property owners to build on the land they own. Special consideration will be given for views from both US 101 and Shell Beach Road.

I started this because I wanted to see those vacant lots look like something more than just weeds. Reading your comments about how much you care for our neighborhood has honestly left me speechless. This momentum belongs to you because it shows how many people want a better entry to Shell Beach.

I am in favor of property owners to build and add landscaping on their lots. This will enhance the appearance and beauty of the community!
A zone change here for homes would be a beautiful addition to our beach community and enhance the tax base for the city. What's not to love?
I live near here and would like to see the space developed. It looks like the outskirts of a trailer park now.
I have never understood how Pismo Beach would rather have weeds as landscaping instead of beautifully designed landscaping.
I am for improving this area to enhance the appearance of Shell Beach Road. Most of this strip is nothing but weeds and unkept areas. Would be nice to see more landscape complimentary to the area.

The houses will no doubt be a big face lift in that area and a redution to the highway noise to the residents.
