Recent action by the Globe Tennis Club Committee has resulted in the termination of services of our one and only Orlando, the literal beating heart of The Globe. He is one of The Globe's great treasures, and we believe that the loss of Orlando would be a real tragedy for The Globe and it's membership
We, the undersigned, wish to register our opposition to this decision in the strongest possible terms. We urge the Globe Committee to reconsider this decision, and reinstate Orlando as soon as possible
The Committee exist to act in the best interests of the club, and we firmly believe that Orlando plays a crucial role in making The Globe the friendly, warm, and vibrant place we all know and love
Bring back Orlando!

I have been hearing from so many of you about how quiet the courts feel lately and it just confirms why I started this whole thing in the first place. Spent all night drafting a packet to drop off at the committee office because they are dodging my calls which is honestly just so typical at this point.

I am honestly having so much trouble processing how much movement this picked up overnight. It really proves that the committee has totally misread the room because Orlando is just essential to the soul of the club and seeing how many people agree is just wild.

By signing the petition, I'd like to express my warm feelings and gratitude towards Orlando, he always been very nice to me and my whole family! Orlando was the first persone outside family, that my granddaughter Darcy could recognized and call by name. My deeppest regrets that things are went wrong. Hope Orlando will remain part of the Globe family!
Orlando is a lovely man who has made a huge contribution to the Globe over the last few years. I know that he has recently made some mistakes, but I feel that he has not had the support he needed. As a community club, we should do more to help. I urge his reinstatement. Tom
Orlando created a friendly, lively environment at the club and was the reason I would often stay behind after tennis to have a meal/drink. He made the tennis club a much better place and so I simply can't comprehend why he has been let go.
Many regular members of the club feel that the decision to oust Orlando was precipitated and void of consultation, a priori. It is in the best interest of the Globe to have him as an asset, for the elderly and the young, the newly appointed members, and those players who come and compete at the club. Bring him back, please... now!
I'm sad to read that Orlando left the club. He was so friendly and open to everybody in the club. Thanks to Orlando, I felt welcomed from the very first day, when I didn't know anybody in the club yet. I think it's a significant lost for the club culture.
Please reinstate Orlando. He s a great cook and makes a warm and friendly bar host. He will understand that he needs to improve on reliability

I am a social member who uses the bar more frequently than I care to admit and without Orlando the bar will revert to the soulless place it was before he arrived. He definitely needs another chance to be our best bar person!
