Everyone and each of us likes to have fun. Sometimes it takes a couple of friends and calm place, sometimes you feel like having a bit more than that. No matter what, having fun often includes a couple of drinks. Åboulevarden is the place where, when having fun in Århus, pretty much everything happens. Place with many bars and clubs suggests that there is usually some alcohol involved. And sometimes you take more than you should have. I myself have been in that situation many times and trust me, it’s not something you’d plan. The problem here is that Åboulevarden is probably the most dangerous place to be tipsy or drunk at, as there’s a canal all the way the street. Even though there are fences alongside at least half of the street, one still can easily fall into the canal. And no matter how drunk or sober one is, it’s easy to lost control over the body once that happens. Therefore, I would like to raise the voice and ask you to sign this petition, which will be send and discussed with Århus Kommune. It should not be that difficult or expensive to create a safety net or higher fences all the way the street and that is what we should ask for.
