We're asking to council to abolish the current 2 way cycle lanes over the Shannon bridge with immediate affect and revert back to the original 2 lanes for free flow of traffic until such time as any new plans are implemented also we ask any plans to be fast tracked so ALL members of the public can have a say in regards the best and safest way to accommodate all users of the bridge.

The council claims this configuration works but your daily commute stories prove the congestion is unmanageable. Call your local representative today to demand they restore the bridge lanes until a transparent plan is presented to us.

I travel from clare to limerick for work and this has caused a hugh delay in traffic every morning. While is accommodates cyclist and offers them safety which i think is really important as i am a cyclist myself, this bridge is not suitable

Road is now extremely dangerous for all road users. Have seen three crashes and couldn't get out of the way for an ambulance and bicycle users still refuse to use the bike lanes.

Ridiculous every morning sitting in traffic for nearly an hour on the Connell road to get into the city. I live in cratloe and have to drive. Just One lane into the city is a joke hardly anyone is cycling. I saw about 3 people cycling over the bridge in a hour

The cycle lanes are the cause of long tailbacks on the Condell road in the morning going into the city. If the footpath was removed on one side, it could be used as cycle lanes and the other side for pedestrians , leaving two lanes for heading into town. It takes 20+ minutes to travel a couple of miles every morning.

Lane is a joke purely because when ur coming from the school to turn left onto condell rd the turn has become very tight esp when a car is coming from other direction an absolute joke.

1 cycle lane worked perfectly well. Having a contra cycle lane reduces traffic flow and more importantly has the potential to limit emergency services vehicles access as bollards don’t allow traffic move safely out of the way.

Take away footpath out going not 10 people a day use it & have it as cycle lane . I sat in traffic on bridge for 7 min & only one person cycled either way.
