Activities involving the football team. On Thursday evening she went to Shady Spring High School to pick her son up from practice. The President of the league proceeded to contact law enforcent and have her arrested as she sat quietly with her 1 year old daughter on her lap. She was released later that night but warned that if she attended another event she could face up to 6 months in jail. Not only can she not attend her sons games, she cannot take him to practice, attend a tailgate or fundraiser or any other event. Her 10 year old son is also receiving backlash at school with other children making fun of his mother being arrested at football practice adding that it was because she was on drugs. He has had to be picked up early because it was so upsetting. The leagues claims are false and the ban is unjust. Please sign this petition to remove this ban.

I am still processing the amount of kindness coming our way while I work to coordinate with people who might be able to help us fix this. Your messages remind me that this is about more than a football field because it is about the way a family is being treated. I am just a person who took a stand but you are the ones keeping the pressure on to set things right.

This is absolutely ridiculous. They should all be ashamed of themselves and put in handcuffs. Seriously... She went to pick her son up. What did they want her to do ? Make him walk home? Shady has always been and will always be exactly that.. "Shady" because a bunch of shady people run it!
ACLU: Don't Ban Parents from School Grounds Without Due Process. This means a trial and a convection. Contact this group and they can end this issue in a minute. Also NCAAP needs to hear that tape and they can clear it up in a minute also. NO parent can be abolished from school district property without due process
This is absurd!! If you know Ashley and the kind of person she is you know this is totally unfair! This is exactly why my kids did not get to partake in Shady Spring little league this year. If someone made a racial comment they don't deserve to be a part of the sport period. There are children involved and we are supposed to be setting examples by them!
I believe It is denial of access to public accommodations in retaliation for standing up against a discriminatory event. Go to wv human rights commission and check.
Just to make it absolutely clear. Ashley was not using drugs. Ashley did not provide any false information to anyone. Ashley simply released her entire recording of a conversation with someone in leadership where inappropriate things about a serious topic were said and laughed about. Ashley did nothing wrong.
This is absolutely horrible and coming from shady I can definitely believe it. So sorry Ashley u did the right thing though!

Disgusted after listening to the audio. Not only should her ban be lifted but would someone please start a petition to get the racist @@#@@## away from coaching children. Despicable words from someone who is supposed to be a role model.
