We all know that Aberystwyth transport is severely lacking, trains out of Aber are one of the easiest ways for students and local residents to travel out of Aber, whether it's to go home, shopping or on holiday. The Welsh Governments National Transport Plan published in 2011, stated that an hourly service from Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury would be in place by 2012. Despite the fact that changes have been made to allow this to happen, The Welsh Government has now pushed this back to 2014/15 if it ever happens at all! We believe there is a desperate need for the hourly service to be introduced sooner than that, to make Aberystwyth more accessible and to ease pressure on the already strained train service. So please sign this petition and spread the word, let's see if we can put enough pressure on The Welsh Government and other related parties and get an hourly service in place before the end of 2012!
