My fellow Bulldogs,
I am Sterling Archer of Six Pack Speak and I am hoping you join me in requesting MSU Athletic Director Scott Stricklin to commission a statue honoring the voice of the Maroon and White, Dr. Jack Cristil. Jack called 1,538 basketball games and 636 football games. With his signature style and his love of Mississippi State, Jack will now and always be synonymous with Bulldog athletics. He deserves to be forever honored on the campus he loved so much. Let's not stop our call to have this statue until the process is wrapped in maroon and white.

I began listening to Jack as a kid with my father in the 50’s until he retired and I was a grandfather. We were both MSU grads and fans and Jack was our link to the team we loved.
While I did not attend State myself, I had three siblings who graduated from there. My mother wouldn't listen to any sport that Jack didn't call because she said he was so fair minded. A great man and I am sure he sits on a maroon and white throne on high!
We have honored numerous people that have been influental to the university with stadiums, fields, and buildings. Jack promoted and was more loyal to the university that some of the others that have been honored with these. Jack bleed maroon and white.
As a current student, I'd love to see a Jack Cristil statue in the Junction! Imagine how his legend would continue for generations of future Bulldogs.
Just as a cold is reassured by hearing the voices of its parents, the vice of Jack Cristil was always reassuring that our team was in good hands. I graduated in 1972 and I can still hear his voice calling the games for the Bulldogs. He is special and deserves his place in the history of MSU!

I'm not even a State fan; but growing up an Ole Miss fan in Starkville, I became familiar with Jack Cristil and always loved his commentary. He was a legend and a class act and deserves to be memorialized on campus. I'm sure I speak for all SEC fans when I say the Jack Cristil is one of, if not the most, beloved and respected commentators in the game.
