We urge Reach High School and the community to name the field at Senator Robert L Dalton Stadium after James “Money” Monroe.
For more than 40 years, James “Money” Monroe has been the cornerstone of the Lake Clifton/Reach High School football program. He has spent his life mentoring young men and women wherever he meets them, and he has built a legacy that people in this community know and respect. His impact reaches far beyond football. He has helped shape character, pride, and belonging for generations of students and families.
The new stadium is rightly being named Senator Robert L Dalton Stadium, but that decision was made outside the community. This is our chance to add a name that comes from within and reflects the people who have truly carried this program. Naming the field after James “Money” Monroe would be a lasting way to honor someone who has given so much to Lake Clifton and Reach High School.
We ask the school and all decision-makers to recognize this wonderful new stadium in a way that also honors a true pillar of the community. Let’s put our stamp on it by naming the field James “Money” Monroe field at Senator Robert L Dalton Stadium.
Coach Money was a former student of Lake Clifton Sr. High School and gave his times, money, talent and heart to the school. He has coached young people through sports and deserves to be honored in a lasting way that represents infinity!
