We now learn that there is no such plan and that the old equipment may be scrapped or removed. Reasons range from the expense of moving the equipment to it not being in keeping with the look of the new park. This is wasteful.
Comments and objections were not made on the planning application because of an understanding that more equipment was planned.
Meanwhile the new park remains inadequate for our need.

Regardless of the new equipment being of a higher quality, residents feel they were promised this would be moved to the new park and as such did not object to the new park plans accordingly. The old play equipment has been very popular and much beloved by the children on the estate
It is outrageous that this play equipment will not be moved to the new park, especially when it is enjoyed more than the new sparse equipment. There is not enough swings at the new park and this would help remedy the issue.... Sort it out Harworth and keep your initial promise to residents.
This equipment is still worthy of use, for a quickly growing estate of young family this equipment could be out to good use at a fractuon of the cost of buying new, or not having enough for everyone at all
Waste of equipment if scrapped. Current park is not adequate enough for the community. Disgusting that a view of the old equipment not being ‘in keeping with the appearance of the new park’ it’s a park for children to learn and have fun on!!!
My daughter is 18 months old . The new play equipment is to old for her. She recently fell off the climbing frame trying to get to the slide, fell head first onto floor and ended up in A&E. Old equipment is perfect for her and children of similar age

It's completely wasteful to scrap the old equipment when it could be put to use in the new play area. The residents don't care if it's 'not in keeping' with the aesthetic of the new park. We just want the play space we've been promised for a long time with equipment for all ages.
