The proposed development at the Amar’s Building includes:

  1. An 8-story structure, towering over the majority of surrounding buildings, which are typically 3 to 5 stories high.
  2. A design completely out of place with the traditional architecture of the area.
  3. A precedent for further high-rise developments, potentially altering the character of the town centre and opening the door to more modern, oversized buildings within the city walls.
