The transit authorities confirmed today that they will introduce the new fleet and upgraded information systems we requested. Achieving this level of service reflects the persistent commitment of everyone who supported these changes. People on the South Coast Line have been suffering with over crowding and poor seating. I Jack Hahn will be taking on Sydney Trains and NSW TransLink to have more 8 cars services and better seating for commuters this may involve bringing a new fleet to the south coast line. I think this is a great idea, i borad at Kiama luckly so i have lots of seating room. But pretty much on 4 cars after thirroul seating room only, I see lots of old people have to stand for the 90 minute journey and i feel disgusted in the network.
Government encourages more usage of public transport but doesn't provide convenience. Short trains = no seats. No provision for luggage especially to airport.
The same distance from Wollongong to Sydney in Germany can be covered in under an hour on a slow train. It's time to move into the 21st century
More trains to Nowra/Bomaderry please. The present frequency is grossly inadequate and causes many unnecessary car trips. The Highway could become much less congested.
I believe that the new carriages accommodate to tall people as well.have travelled to central from Wollongong for 4 years and at 6'4 sitting in those narrow seat was so uncomfortable

I'm a twice-daily weekday commuter to the city. The comfort level on the OSCAR are poorer than the older V sets (except the loos). There are no facilities for the distant traveller (luggage, bike storage). The line between Thirroul and Waterfall is ancient and sub-standard. It needs to be fixed!
