Currently Rainham Mark is over subscribed and over 50 children have not been given a place. On the flip side Holcombe Grammar, a great school is struggling to fill its places. It's difficult to get to from areas of Gillingham and Rainham. Medway Council offer no subsidised 'M-Y' buses to it apart from from the Isle of Grain and Lordswood/Walderslade.

Children wishing to travel there need to take 2 separate buses (plus a walk of 10-15mins for some) and would have to pay £700+ per year for a bus pass.

There should be a fair system where all children are able to access their local Grammar schools and I'm starting this petition to get support for the Council

To fund a subsidised (not free) service from Gillingham/Rainham to Holcombe Grammar School, Letchworth ave, Chatham
