June 14, 2023 Letter from Shearwater Board:
"Dear Shearwater Community Members,
The School Board would like to thank those members of the current and past Shearwater community who responded to our email (sent 12th May) and reached out to us to offer support and constructive ideas for a process to support the healing of our school community after the impact of the Covid mandates.
The Board, together with the School Executive and the College, as well as the suggestions put forward by community members, are now working towards co-creating a community healing, reconciliation and acknowledgement process in term three, for both current staff and parents/caregivers, as well as any past staff and parents/caregivers who were impacted by the implementation of the 2021 covid mandates.
We will communicate more on this in the coming weeks and look forward to bringing light to the shadow that Covid and the mandates cast on our school community.

Be nice to see the reputation and honour of this school be restored. As a potential parent would not consider this school under the current regime. May the true solution come forward for the best interests of all involved.
Less power more accountability and transparency please. And I’m very disappointed HOS has not once rea her out to welcome us as we enrolled 1 week before lockdown started. How can he advocate tbst he is all about the students and families? And very sad to hear tbat deputy principal bagging “ stupid non vaxxers” in the staff quarters. All very very disappointing
My boy lives in Brunz and he went to this school … he’s devastated that people he loved lost their jobs because they held true to their principles
HOS discriminated against us for our beliefs and values. He treated us very poorly even though we were an integral part of the Shearwater community. We left because of it.
It's disgraceful how the HOS behaved during the pandemic including dobbing-in a GP who was issuing vax exemptions. What transpired, in the division of the school community, is the antithesis of Anthroposophy & a Steiner school's ethos of fostering 'Education towards Freedom'.
Am in agreement with what has been expressed in this petition
This could be rectified by reinstating teachers with an apology

I fell for the panic and got the jab. Now a year later realising the wool was pulled over my eyes as the narrative has changed. Ive lived in Mullumbimby for 9 years. These teachers that stood their ground are owed an apology
