We, the undersigned, are passionate about fostering a lively and enriching atmosphere within our Ramona community. Therefore, we respectfully request that the San Diego County Board of Supervisors considers amending the current winery ordinance/zoning to allow for live acoustical performances aided by appropriate sound reinforcement at boutique level wineries, limited by an acceptable decibel level at property edge. Live music, performances, and other forms of entertainment can create a more vibrant and dynamic atmosphere, attracting a diverse audience and contributing to the cultural and economic richness of our region.
We also support staying any
enforcement of existing ordinances/zoning restrictions pending the modification
to the Wine Ordinance/zoning for Boutique Wineries.

I started this simply hoping for a modest change in our local rules, but seeing the collective energy behind this movement has been completely overwhelming. I am currently reaching out to local representatives to ensure your requests are being seen by the right people. This progress belongs entirely to the community members who took the time to speak up.

Having music at wineries helps support small businesses (the musicians and wineries), which helps support the economic viability of the entire community. If our agricultural land is left bare, we have a fire hazard, so let's keep the vines growing and the music flowing!
I am a professional bass-player and self-employed musician, and the availability or lack of live music gigs directly impacts my ability to provide for myself and make a living. I live in San Diego but work with musicians based in Ramona.
Wineries, and mellow music are a great change from the loud music in a bar, that you can’t even have a pleasant conversation with someone. It’s wrong to sue your local businesses. Get real,not good for your business !!!!!
I love going to Ramona Wineries and establishments. It would great to support the large local music scene too which is mainly acoustic artist who are LOCAL. I believe in Supporting LOCAL in all manners.
Would not the presence of live music at the wineries provide the opportunity for more wine sales and subsequently more tax revenue for San Diego County or would the San Diego County Board of Supervisors prefer less tax revenue? It's a rhetorical question.
The wineries are a lovely place to meet with friends during the day on weekends, listen to music and visit. Ramona's wineries and music scene have become well known and enhance tourism that all Ramona businesses can benefit from.
Will be a nice destination.

Ordinances should allow for growth and change. Otherwise we would still be getting tickets for wearing shorts in public. This one has outlived its usefulness and is now a growth and economic limiter versus its intended purpose as something to help grow the wine community.
