I just saw the news and the FAI sanction is officially back for the Safii Ranch leg which honestly feels a bit surreal after all that back and forth. My inbox is exploding and I have no idea how we actually got here but the result is exactly what we …
To enjoin all Paragliders who participated in the PGAWC 1st leg event held at Safii Ranch, Maasim, Sarangani province, Region 12, Philippines from March 27-29 2015 to request for reinstatement of FAI sanction.
I have been staring at these maps and old emails all morning trying to figure out where the disconnect happened because the event at Safii Ranch was honestly just too important to lose its standing like this. Some of you have reached out with personal accounts of the flying conditions in Sarangani and reading those makes me even more determined to get the governing bodies to actually reconsider their decision.

I never thought we would see this kind of energy building up again after so long but wow it feels like people still care about what happened at Safii Ranch. This momentum is actually wild and honestly kind of overwhelming in a good way because it reminds me why we even started bothering with this whole effort in the first place.

I was a competitor too and kudos to the organizers for a job well done and I hope the reason why the sanction was taken off the last minute should be explained well so all the pilots will know, learn from it and move forward by giving back the points to the pilots who really work hard for it.

Its time to clean up the mess and do away with politicking. Its destroying the paragliding community in the country. Philippines Paragliding should have stand-alone NAC that can understand the true sentiments of the sports. We don't need a repressive NAC but a supportive NAC.

It is pity why this competition is withdrawn from FAI schedule. It was according all rules and very well organized. Specially after giving sanction like FAI 2 cat.

I feel sorry for the international and local participants who spent time and money to join this competition in the Philippines. I wonder if anyone will join an event here in the future.

I'm a local pilot here in Sarangani and we really work very hard to make this happen and share this wonderful air sport to our community and to our country. We started this event brick by brick. Pls consider reinstate the sanction of the pgawc.

In Germany we have 30.000 pilots and 1 organization (DHV). In the Philippinines there are 40 pilots and 2 organizations (PPHGA and PGP). lol
