NO REZONING WEST COBB - NO TO Z-101
We, the undersigned, ask the Cobb County Board of Commissioners to DENY Rezoning Application Z-101, which seeks to rezone 87.639 acres on Burnt Hickory Rd. from R-30 to R-20/OSC.
Z-101 also proposes a reduction in lot sizes from 30,000 Sq. Ft to 15,000 Sq. Ft.The proposed rezoning is not consistent with R-30 zoning surrounding the subject property and the entire area of Burnt Hickory Rd.
The proposed density and lot size will destroy the look and feel of the area of Burnt Hickory Rd. -- characterized by a sprawling horse farm, expansive pastures, and many large-parcel estate homes.
Increased density also will have a negative impact on property values and quality of life of in surrounding neighborhoods by increasing traffic congestion and overcrowding public schools.
