We, the undersigned, ask the Cobb County Board of Commissioners to DENY Rezoning Application Z-101, which seeks to rezone 87.639 acres on Burnt Hickory Rd. from R-30 to R-20/OSC.
Z-101 also proposes a reduction in lot sizes from 30,000 Sq. Ft to 15,000 Sq. Ft.The proposed rezoning is not consistent with R-30 zoning surrounding the subject property and the entire area of Burnt Hickory Rd.
The proposed density and lot size will destroy the look and feel of the area of Burnt Hickory Rd. -- characterized by a sprawling horse farm, expansive pastures, and many large-parcel estate homes.
Increased density also will have a negative impact on property values and quality of life of in surrounding neighborhoods by increasing traffic congestion and overcrowding public schools.

No to increased population, increased traffic; no to destruction of pastoral quality of area. Who in their right mind would pay $600K for a home on 15000 sq ft !!! Is there really only one way in and the same way out for over 1000 cart trips per day ??? Vote NO
I live less than 1/4 mile from the proposed rezoning, The roads and utilities cannot handle this influx of homes and families. Please do not approve changing the current zoning to build new homes there. Thank you,
This is one of the views from my drive I love passing by. I've lived in Kennesaw my whole life and it would NOT be the same without pastures like this. Do not touch this perfect land. You are going to lose a huge selling point of the Kennesaw area if you do.
We need a moratorium until the county address overcrowding of schools, excessive road congestion and requires all new development to pay infrastructure fees. Otherwise we are subsidizing this development with our taxes.
Too much traffic already with resulting air pollution and health problems for children. This shows terrible unplanned urban growth. Cobb County should have better growth management strategy to fight constant additional sprawl.
Until Cobb County addresses the traffic, growth of new housing needs to stop.
Great way to destroy a community...too many subdivisions already!

Please deny this petition. We moved here 24 years ago for the rural feel, and this has slowly slipped away. If we wanted massive housing areas, congested roadways, overcrowded schools, and a large discrepancy in housing prices, we would have moved to East Cobb!
