We the undersigned believe that Local drivers deserve local work and that this is the best way to preserve our community and to be sure that we are kept safe from non locally licensed drivers.
We call on Welwyn and Hatfield Council and police to issue a community protection order to stop undesirable drivers operating in the district

Like to know my daughter is getting home safe after she had had a night out and local taxi firms make her feel safe as well
How do we know out of town drivers and there cars are legal? This has to stop NOW. For public safety.
Uber should be stoped operating operating in this area asap as they are damaging local business. These drivers picking up local customers without booking charging them silly money and been abusive towards them and when customer ask them which company you work for they tell customer local company name I personally think that council should do something about it.
We pay licensing fees to the welwyn hatfield council to work here. Whereas drivers from out of town that are NOT licenced to work here, are coming and taking our work. UNFAIR
I am a Welwyn & Hatfield plated private hire driver. I signed this petition because I lost considerable amount of work since these PCOs & cross border drivers started coming in our town. I believe that local work is for local plated drivers. It's about time that Council and other authorities take notice and safeguard our work.

It's is not fair for local drivers who have invested much time to learn the routes, regulations and more. It is also unsafe for our customers who may be unaware that they are imposters. They also may have a similar taxi licence number which may cause complications when customers may want to make a complaint and one of our legitinate drivers will get in trouble.
