By signing this petition, you support equestrian trails in Williamson County. The organization Williamson County Equestrians for Shared Greenways are respectfully asking for county support for a multi-use trail, that includes equestrian trails at Peacock Hill, Triune and throughout the county. As mentioned in the Triune Special Area Plan, on page 23, it states “Pursue the development of multi-modal greenway trails. These trails can provide valuable recreational opportunities for pedestrians, bicyclists and equestrians and can connect residential areas with various destination points in the community. “ Even the 2040 Williamson County Comprehensive Plan states in their objectives that “agriculture and equestrian uses are encouraged to continue in rural areas, but as such uses are converted to non-agricultural uses, the rural density, character and sensitive environmental features of the area will be preserved”. By creating equestrian trails Williamson County will help preserve character and sensitive environmental features and provide safer areas for the community to horse ride, bike and walk.

"Please be aware we are not asking for donations. At the end of this petition you will be asked for a donation. That donation goes towards Ipetition to support their site NOT to the trails."

been spending a lot of time looking at the maps in the county plans and it is wild how much they talk about multi-use trails without actually building the equestrian access we need. im working on putting together a list of specific spots where these trails would fit perfectly so we can show the planners exactly what they promised in their own documents.

Please put these in the Fernvale and Leipers fork area. It used to be such a magical place for horse riding but now the roads are too busy and dangerous. Our horses and people need places to roam safely.

Horse trails would be fantastic to use. We spend a lot of money for bicycles for bike lanes why not horse trails. Roughly the same percent of the population are equestrian as are cyclist.

Over 200 acres were donated to Williamson County several years ago on Giles Hill Road to be used for horse trails still waiting to be open to the public.

Nolensville is growing so rapidly that it is losing its rural character and charm. We need areas to ride our horses and keep the ambiance that drew us to this area in the first place.

Equestrian trails are being eliminated without consideration of the business it brings to the communities. You cannot put a price on the positive effects horseback riding has on one’s mental and physical well-being. I fully support this petition.

This is an important next step in the Triune/Arrington area. The equestrian trails will continue our historic connections with horses and equine agri-business.
