ECS / clear scan Shutter Mode helps you to get rid of light flicker / bandIng issues when filming cheep LEDs, dimmed lights, monitors, projectors etc.
Many other cameras feature this.
I would like to ask Sony to implement it into a further update.

im still reading all your comments about flicker issues and its honestly validating to see so many pros struggling with the same thing. im going to keep pushing this forward because a firmware update is a simple fix for a camera that is otherwise still so capable.

the momentum behind this is wild and it shows just how many of us are tired of dealing with screen flicker on our shoots. i really appreciate everyone getting behind this request so we can finally get the features our cameras deserve.

Please implement this sony. It should be a standard feature for a professional video camera that costs more than 5k. Especially considering Panasonic offers this in their GH4 dslr camera along with so many other pro features.
ECS shutter speed mode is instrumental . The lack of this feature is a huge downside for people who shoot indoor events, plays and concerts as myself. The FS7 is very expensive and has a lot of features I'll never use regarding format, plus I need at least two cameras for multi-camera shoots. Buying several FS7 is way out of my budget. I hope these threads will reach someone at Sony. These update will make the FS5 a lot more popular and will soar the sales. Best
Coming from a broadcast background I am accustomed to having clear scan, so absolutely it would be a useful, welcome tool.
It's the one thing that lets this camera down. I actually had to use my old C100 again because of this!

ECS is an essential feature that should be enabled as standard on the FS5 camera.
