To convince Pentax that there is a highly demand from the Pentax users side to have full control over the video recording settings in the top-notch products K-7 and K-x.
Since the K-x hits the market at a very good price level for an entry DSLR, it is becoming more and more interesting to amateur movie makers, especially due to the technical characteristics of a Video-DSLR (shallow DOF, superb quality, exchangeable lenses, you name it).
Pentax, please give us the following possibilites:
- support for (at least) 24p on the K-7
- full control over ISO gain (range or fixed ISO)
- full control over shutter speed

I started this just to see if other people felt the same frustration about our camera settings and I am honestly stunned by how many of you have stopped by to add your names. It is incredible to see that this is something we all truly care about together.

I truly never imagined that so many people would join me in asking for these camera settings. It is genuinely humbling to see that this matters to so many of you who are just as passionate about photography as I am.

Bought a k-x for the video quality but its useless without shutter priority. Come on guys give us the firmware update we need!!!!
Just give us the manual mode already. Its software locked and you know it.
PLEASE update the firmware. I love my camera but this is making me think about switching to canon.
24p is standard for a reason. why leave it out of the k-7? such a waste of good glass.
i miss having full control over my iso. doing street video is a nightmare with the way it jumps around right now.

really need manual control. the auto exposure is just hunting everywhere when i try to film. fix this pentax.
