Since 2020 Chester Heights residents have voted at Garnet Valley Middle School a permanent, easy-to-access location. A private conference room has been offered to host this year's elections within the borough. Please sign our petition to keep our elections accessible to the public at the Garnet Valley Middle School instead of a private conference room at 53 Baltimore Pike for the November 2022 election. The proposed location will serve to confuse voters before the election, be temporary in nature since as the building owner seeks to build and rent the office space, is hard to access for 2/3 of the borough who live on the other side of Route 1. I have requested a formal meeting with the Board of Elections to present our concerns regarding the proposed site at 53 Baltimore Pike. Our focus remains on the logistical impact for residents living across Route 1 if this move proceeds.

The current level of support confirms that our concerns regarding polling accessibility are widely shared across the borough. I am moving forward with a formal request for a meeting with the County Board of Elections to present these findings and protect our established voting location.

I am concerned that moving the polling place so close to the election will be confusing to voters. I think that people expect to vote in public buildings.
As a poll worker, I would like everyone to have more time to see the space and figure out how we would work it. I don't want to be thrown into potential chaos. I also don't think it's enough time to advertise so that all voters understand the change.

Nobody knows where that office building is. Everyone is used to the school. Stop changing it up for no reason.
