Fellow Columbians,
Earlier this year, we welcomed a new General Manager. However, it has become evident that he lacks the necessary skills to lead the Columbia Club effectively, and we are requesting his resignation or dismissal. Furthermore, we kindly ask that the selection committee refrain from participating in the screening and selection process of a new General Manager.
Throughout his short tenure, he has failed to demonstrate an understanding of the Columbia Club's culture, operations, and values. In addition, we have witnessed a high turnover among the staff.
In order to uphold the long and storied legacy of the Columbia Club, it is imperative that we have a more thoughtful, engaging, and strategic manager at the helm. I encourage you to sign the petition, which will allow us to convey the urgency of these matters to the club's board of directors.
(When signing, please include your member number as well.)
I do not have anything against Mr. Dale. But, the way he was hired goes against over 100 years of tradition. I think he is capable and able. But, a horrible precedent has been set moving forward. Frankly I am signing this because the hiring of the new manager is a direct reflection of how the board of directors is “elected”, which is abominable.
