We, the undersigned, hereby officially complain to the Headteacher Ms Sam Palin and Deputy Headteacher Ms Kate Kelly at Woodmansterne Primary School about the complete lack of consistency in our children’s education relating to teacher appointments throughout the academic year 2018/2019 and the repeated failure to communicate properly on relating issues

As a school you ask us to pledge our commitment to ensuring our children are in school consistently, aiming to achieve 100% attendance. I’m keeping up my side of the deal but you’re not keeping up yours. It’s not unreasonable to ask for you to pledge to have 100% attendance from the same teacher. You have an opportunity now to stabilise our children’s education so that the whole of year two hasn’t been completely disrupted.
The school always makes decisions without telling the parents. They also force the parents to accept whatever they say. Discrimination is too frequent. In addition to this, within one year, the children have had more than 3 different teachers.
Echoing the comments of my wife. Whilst I have had my reservations about Mr Millet, this raft of changes us destabilising and potentially more damaging than a less than perfect incumbent
I am against changing the class teacher. We want stability for our children. It would have been very much appreciated for Mr M to finish off this term due to the fact that Mrs T will only be in two days a week.
I feel it is extremely unfair that our children’s class has not had a stable teacher since February, which is nearly half the academic year! This lack of continuity will no doubt hamper their progress and learning compared to their year 2 peers. I am also annoyed that we were informed Mr Millet would be with them until the end of term, and now the children are used to him and his style he is being replaced by a teacher who is only present 2 days per week, so even more disjointedness! We are constantly told how every day of our children’s education counts but this seems to be contradicted by the total lack of continuity they have experienced in terms of the number of teachers since Miss Fernandez departure. I understand the school are under budgetary constraints but this should not adversely effect our children’s education and many parents feel 2F have been disadvantaged this year compared to their peers and this is unacceptable.
We want some stability in the class for our kids. You can’t keep changing teacher without consulting with either kids or parents.

I am really concerned about the effect the sudden change of teacher will have on my granddaughter. Especially the fact that she will have not one but THREE teachers. I feel that this can only have a disruptive effect on all the children. Corinne Cain.
