The school board finally backed down and moved graduation to Saturday. It took them long enough to realize that families should not be forced to choose between ceremonies. We won this move because we refused to accept their lazy scheduling.

Hello Senior Class Families!

We are looking for your support in moving Monadnock Graduation back to Saturday. Currently graduation is set to take place on Friday, June 7th, which is also the same day as Keene High graduation. This will greatly impact the planning of Project Graduation and also the ability for friends and family to attend both ceremonies. Please sign this petition if you are in favor of moving graduation to Saturday, June 8th.

Thank you!

Heather Dean (mom of 2024 senior)

The momentum behind this push is proof that the school board cannot keep ignoring our families. They expect us to just accept this scheduling disaster but we are showing them exactly how many of us demand a change.

We have children from Monadnock and Keene the same day. Historically that is why they changed graduation so families would be able to attend both!

The MRHS graduation for class of 2024 should be changed to Saturday, 6/8/24. It is tradition for MRHS graduation to always be on a Saturday and this tradition should be upheld. This not only keeps tradition but mitigates scheduling issues with Project Graduation and families wanting to attend other graduations on Friday night. - Jessica Hart - class of 2002

Having it the same day as the other highschool in the next town makes it difficult to those who have family members in both districts. Saturday has always brought an amazing turnout to witness the accomplishments and dedication of family members. I say keep it on Saturday for these students who deserve to have all family there and not have to choose whose graduation is more important to attend.

Friday is extremely hard for so many families and as far as project graduation, it will be a major struggle for vendors.
