AUD finally stopped making excuses and agreed to host our graduation ceremony. Refusing to take no for an answer forced their hand and showed them we would not let our hard work be ignored. We won this fight and justice for the class of 2020 is finally happening.

Dear Mr. President,
Hope all is well.
On behalf of the 2020 batch, we would like to request your re-consideration and permission to revive our lost graduation ceremony that many of us have waited years for.
We are completely aware and vigilant of these unfortunate times that we’re going through now. The pandemic has brought our university and many other businesses to halt, disrupting all of the big plans that AUD might have had for us.
We also understand that the decision made by AUD to cancel our graduation ceremony was to follow the UAE regulations and guidelines while also maintaining maximum security and protection against the spread of the virus.
However, what we ask your permission for, is to reconsider and review other options on how we could have our graduation ceremony, while still abiding by the guidelines and rules. We have witnessed other universities think outside the box and coming up with different methods to celebrate their hardworking batch.
We send you this message with great hope that AUD is going to reconsider and rethink the 2020 graduation ceremony, while also maintaining safe guidelines and regulations.We are also ready to wait for a couple of months until the situation gets better since our graduation got postponed anyway from the original date.
Furthermore, we would like to provide you with an idea that the batch has thought of for our graduation ceremony. We would appreciate if AUD could do very small graduation ceremonies for each school separately or for a couple of schools together, or at least a drive thru graduation that we will gladly accept and any other simple idea would still make a huge difference in our mental state and this all of course while abiding to the rules and regulations imposed by the government and UAE law.
Lastly, we would like to thank you for listening to us and we are keen that best decision will be made.

The administration continues to ignore our messages while other schools find ways to celebrate their students. Their silence proves they do not care about the hard work we put in over the last four years.

1508027733 - To add up to what’s mentioned above, appreciating and recognizing us as graduates on Burj Khalifa would be a great and safe way of achieving the graduation ceremony safely with taking precautionary measures, we can be creative on our own way, just like other universities did! Thank you.

We worked hard through the years we deserve a graduation for us and for our families!
