The Preamble to the West Virginia Constitution reads: "Since through Divine Providence we enjoy the blessings of civil, political and religious liberty, we, the people of West Virginia, in and through the provisions of this Constitution, reaffirm our faith in and constant reliance upon God and seek diligently to promote, preserve and perpetuate good government in the state of West Virginia for the common welfare, freedom and security of ourselves and our posterity."
Fellow patriots, I do not believe that the God of our state constitution refers to Allah, Buddha, or Baal, but the one true God of the Christian Holy Bible, which our history and heritage confirms.
We might live in a multicultural world, but the truth does not change. The God of our nation's and state's founding is and always was intended to refer to the God of the Christian Holy Bible.
If you agree, please sign the petition in support of a constitutional amendment to make this a clear declaration from the People of West Virginia that the God of our constitution is the God of the Christian Holy Bible, which bears witness of the Holy trinity: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God Save America,
WV Delegate Henry C. Dillon
For God's blessings to be recognized by an ungrateful nation.
