" . . . and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." -II Corinthians 3:17 Thomas Jefferson stated in a tract in which he laid out the justifications for the American Revolution, "Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God?"
God ordained a Constitutional republic for this nation, and the nation’s first generation comported more closely to the Biblical example of how to treat people within and without our borders than any other time in our history.
First, God ordains our leaders for his own glory and the public good. Second, it is lawful for Christians to hold office–which implies that not all lawful magistrates are necessarily going to be Christians. Third, God requires his people to subject themselves to and pray for his ordained civil authorities.
"Without morals, a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure . . . are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of a free government." — Charles Carroll, Signer of the Declaration of Independence
Today, in the name of "equality" and "political correctness" the basic liberty to love and worship God is being undermined. A vocal minority has undertaken a mission to rewrite history and force the majority of Americans to live in a society without God.
The momentum behind this initiative continues to grow at a remarkable pace. This collective dedication confirms that a significant portion of our country remains committed to our founding principles.
