We, the undersigned employees of the above-named employer, no longer wish to be represented by Teamsters Local 856 for purposes of collective bargaining.

We request that the National Labor Relations Board conduct a secret ballot election to determine whether Teamsters Local 856 should continue to represent employees in our bargaining unit.

By signing below, I confirm that I am an employee within the bargaining unit and support holding a decertification election.

We are asking coworkers at San Jose (SJC), San Francisco (SFO), and Oakland to support removing our current union as our representative and to join us in exploring decertification. Employees contribute about $50 in union dues per paycheck or month, and in return we should expect communication, support, and real representation when we need help.

At this point, many employees feel that the union has not been accessible or responsive enough. There have been times when calls and texts to the union representative went unanswered, leaving coworkers feeling unheard and unsupported. That is not what representation should look like. A union should be present, reachable, and willing to address workplace concerns in a timely way.

This petition is not about creating division among coworkers. It is about accountability, communication, and making sure employees have a voice in who represents them. People can disagree about the union and still respect one another. What matters is whether our current representation is doing the job workers need.

We are asking interested employees to complete the interest section on the following page so we can gauge support and coordinate next steps. This is intended to explore the process for a union decertification election and is not an official National Labor Relations Board filing.
