We call on decision-makers to reject any development that would bring drive-through fast food restaurants to the Upper Blue Mountains, including the proposal affecting the Wentworth Falls Bowling Club. This is a place known for its natural beauty, quiet village character, and the way people live, walk, meet, and spend time together. Drive-through fast food is a poor fit here.
A development like this would bring more traffic, more noise, more litter, and more pressure on already busy local roads. It would change the feel of Wentworth Falls and set a bad example for the wider Upper Blue Mountains. People come here for open space, fresh air, and a community that still feels human and local. We should not trade that away for a type of business that encourages cars to keep moving and leaves little in return for the neighbourhood.
We also worry about the long-term impact on nearby businesses, public amenity, and the character of the area. Once this kind of development is allowed in one place, it becomes harder to stop more of the same. The result is a steady erosion of the things that make the Upper Blue Mountains special.
We ask for the proposal to be refused and for planning decisions to protect the health, character, and liveability of Wentworth Falls and the wider Upper Blue Mountains. Our community deserves development that fits the place, not one that damages it.

Read the room. Wentworth falls supports small local business. The communal vibe is what makes the Blue mountains special. Fast food giants aren't welcome here.
This is a completely inappropriate proposal in an already dangerous traffic area between two schools and an RE2 private recreation zoned area.
A drive through fast food outlets in Wentworth Falls would cause traffic jams at the intersection of Falls Rd and the Great western Highway, • would cause extra run-off of water into Jamison Creek (including oil and tyre residue from cars on the increased area of hard surfaces), • would increase litter, • would be completely out of character with the heritage character of the village, • would harm the many cafés and food outlets in the village.
We dont to be like every other suburb of sydney … one fast food outlet attracts another on the other side of the hwy… the pollution, the wrong message re whats acceptable for food, the impact on locally owned and run cafes, the traffic, the impact on the Charles darwin walk
The Blue Mountains is a unique and precious place. People visit for it's scenic beauty and aesthetics. Brash fast food chain restaurants have no place in this wondrous place. Please do not approve this disastrous application.
Local businesses should remain in regional(ish) areas. Corporate level businesses can stay in the city
The upper Blue Mountains needs to maintain its culture and difference from the rest of Sydney. Once you introduce fast food you are taking away something special and making it like everywhere else.
