1. Grade divisions: 
 
Tracen Academy is divided into Middle School and High School. In the JP version, you can see in what grade division your trainees are, but in Global, they removed any mention of school grade divisions and changed it to "Junior/Senior Division," a more sport league-like division. This to this day causes confusion within new players, and there are unironically trainers who think Umas like Maruzensky, Rudolf, and Mr. CB are 30+ and aren't students in Tracen.

2- Overweight Status:
 
For some reason that we can assume (fatty localizers got offended) the status that was Chubby/fat/overweight in the original version got changed to "Slow Metabolism" which doesn't really make sense since you get it if your Uma is stuffed with food

3. No Nicknames for Trainer:
 
In the franchise, there were always Umas that had a unique nickname for their trainers; this was the case since the Umamusume: Pretty Derby anime. But in the global version, they decided to censor some of these nicknames and translate them to a boring "Trainer."
 
The biggest case of this is Mihono Bourbon's "Master"; on the textboxes, it gets translated to "Trainer" or simply ignored and replaced with a "You."

4. No Christmas Allowed:
 
The atheist localization group Cygames hired hates Christmas; in the game, the word "Christmas" is a prohibited word. They changed it to multiple words and sentences that sometimes don't even make sense. The worst part is that we can hear the characters say "curisumasu" which is Christmas in Japanese. 
 
There was a compilation video of the game's scenes, but it seems it was taken down. This censorship also happened on the official English subs of Cinderella Grey.
 
 
Eishin Flash suffers from this censorship too. As her family has a bakery she has a few lines mentioning christmas, these gets censored too

5. Cafe's Christmas Date

In one of the events in her career, you're going out on Christmas with her, then an NPC asks her if you two are on a Christmas date, and then Cafe blushes.
 
This gets censored and changed to the NPC asking if you're in a "holiday feast."

6-Valentines Bourbon's animation
 
When you get the Valentine Bourbon unit, she's holding a big chocolate heart that says "Master." This gets changed to "trainer."
 
Cygames really hates Bourbon's personality, it seems, since they're so keen in censoring her.

7- Tannhauser's Mom calling you her boyfriend
In the good ending of tannhauser's career her mother uses the kanji "恋人" (Koibito), which can be translated to boyfriend/lover/husband/her man). This got simplified and toned it down to "partner", a word that is more used to working partners.

8- Ayabe's trainer's accidental confession
In Admire vega's story when Ayabe's asks for Trainer's recent interest in stars he accidentaly blurts out "Because I like Ayabe!", which surprises her and he correct "Ah, No... Stars!" 
But in Global, it was localized to "Since I met you!" and "I-I just wanted to know more"

9- On Eishin Flash love at first sight
On her Career Story, when we recruit her we tell her that we've been interested on her since we first saw her. 
Eishin Flash's at hearing this whispers "L-Love at first sight?"
This got changed to "Huh?! Wait, you have been?"

10- Rudolf's Moon confession
In "A Clear and Beautiful Night" Rudolf's says the famous Moon phrase that is known as a way to confess your feeling.
She says the long version "月がとても綺麗に見えるんだ" while you're with her at the shrine alone at night, this got changed to "The moon is supposed to be a perfect crescent tonight, and I hear that the sky will be clear...", You can see the difference in tone, one is romantic the other is just weather talk.

preserve the meaning and intent of the original japanese version. Keep the wording of the translated version as close to the original as possible.

And Avoid unnecessary alterations to characters' personalities, relationships, jokes, motivations.


Please Cygames  review the English localization and preserve the original Japanese dialogue, terminology, and context.
