To the President and Negotiating Team of the Public Workers Union (PWU)

We, the undersigned members and dedicated workers of the Public Workers Union (PWU) submit this petition to formally express our support for accepting the employer’s Government of Grenada most recent salary increase proposal.

While we highly value our union’s commitment to securing the best possible working conditions and compensation for all members, we believe that ratifying the current offer is in the best interest of our workforce at this time.

Our reasons for supporting the immediate acceptance of this offer include:

• Immediate Financial Relief: The proposed increase addresses current cost-of-living pressures and provides tangible financial benefits to members and their families without further delay.
• Avoidance of Prolonged Disruptions: Accepting this offer brings closure to the current negotiation cycle, preventing the uncertainty, stress, and potential loss of wages associated with prolonged negotiations or potential strike actions.
• Fair and Competitive Compensation: The proposed package represents a positive step forward in our overall compensation, recognizing our hard work and dedication.

We stand united with our union, but we respectfully request that the bargaining committee present this offer to the wider membership for a ratification vote, or accept the terms to conclude negotiations successfully.
