We call for Bianca’s phone to be returned immediately and for the matter in Dundalk to be resolved fairly and without any more delay.
Bianca’s phone was taken by the guards in Dundalk because of a false rumour circulating around school in May, and it has still not been returned. Whatever concerns may have been raised, keeping her without her phone for this long is causing real harm and needs to end now.
Bianca needs her phone for music, and that matters because she has special needs and relies on it as part of her daily support. She also needs it to stay connected and to feel safe. Right now, she is going around the streets of Dundalk without a reliable way to call for help if she needs it or if she is in danger. That is not acceptable for any young person.
The stress of this rumour, along with not having her phone, is making her mental health decline. No one should be left to carry that burden while the issue drags on. We ask that Bianca’s phone be returned without further delay, and that her safety, dignity, and needs be treated with the seriousness they deserve.
