We call on the Victorian Government and responsible agencies to properly fund and maintain all of Victoria’s roads so they are safe, reliable, and fit for everyday use.

For too long, too many roads have been left to decay and fall into disrepair. In many areas, basic maintenance is not happening, and quick patch jobs are being used instead of proper full section repairs. That kind of work does not solve the problem for long, and it leaves drivers, passengers, cyclists, and pedestrians dealing with unsafe conditions again and again.

This is not just an inconvenience. Poor road conditions put people at risk, damage vehicles, and make travel harder for everyone who relies on these roads to get to work, school, appointments, shops, and family. It is also embarrassing for our state when visitors from interstate and overseas are met with roads in such poor condition.

Victorians should not have to keep accepting the same cycle of neglect, temporary fixes, and delay. We need a real commitment to proper road maintenance, proper repairs, and enough funding to get the job done right the first time.
