We the undersigned Tennessee licensed Doctors of Chiropractic respectfully request that the Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners change the continuing education requirement to 12 online hours and 12 live hours. The current 6/18 requirement places an undue burden on Tennessee chiropractors and forces many of us to attend an extra weekend of education, adding time, travel, and expense that are difficult to manage while serving our patients and communities.

A more balanced option would be 6 online hours, 6 livestream hours, and 12 in person. This would still preserve meaningful live learning and professional development, while giving licensed chiropractors greater flexibility to complete required education in a way that is practical and fair. Continuing education matters, and we support standards that keep our profession strong. But those standards should also reflect the realities of running a practice, caring for patients, and meeting licensing requirements without unnecessary hardship.

We ask the Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners to modernize the current rule and adopt a more flexible model that recognizes both the value of live instruction and the legitimate need for accessible online learning. This change would help licensed chiropractors across Tennessee stay current, stay compliant, and continue providing quality care to the people who depend on us.
