Allow serving alcohol after 16:00 in the Zernike campus
Every year, the facility services of the university creates new house rules that the study associations must abide by in their rooms on University grounds. For decades, the accepted rules were that study associations may serve alcohol to their members after 16:00, however, the facility services are changing this so that you may only serve alcohol if you are having an event. This petition is to urge the facility services to reconsider this rule.

The association’s room is a social place and I believe it is adequate have the freedom to enjoy a beer there
Many students gladly come to our campus knowing that after their classes, they can enjoy a drink with their fellow students. This creates social cohesion on our campus, and makes students stay around longer. When students know eachother better, they are more likely to help eachother out with their studies as well.
Getting together to unwind and a low-effort way to get in touch with people/students with a similar point of view. And alcoholic beverages should definitely be part of that. As a beta person it absolutely helped me getting out of my shell and create wonderful friendships.
It’s important for study associations to offer students a place to unwind and socialise. Having the option to enjoy a beer or a soft drink together is an important part of creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
Casual drinks are an essential part of fostering a community among students, taking this away would be catastrophic for the atmosphere on campus.
Zernike Campus by itself feels somewhat grotesque and by limiting alcohol after 16, it would make there even more depressing that now people won't be able to interact and have fun by sharing a drink after their lectures.
Beers are important. Both socially and for mental health. Very important

A casual beer with like minded peers has led to many friendships and relationships indispensable to my graduation
