Class of ‘22. Ms.Chen was always kind and helpful to me, although I never had the opportunity to have her as a teacher. She is a great teacher and support system.

Even though I didn't start taking her class until 9th grade, she has made it great experience to learn a new language and has been so kind and supportive as the sponsor for UIL accounting. I'll be devasted if she leaves our school. 陳老師,我們愛你

I am a current student of the YWLA. I'm currently in the Chinese course and would like to explain my experience in this class. The main reason why I wanted to attend YWLA in the first place was for THIS class. Just like many others. Throughout my time in this class, I've been exposed to many life-changing lessons and experiences that are not available elsewhere. Ms. Chen is a gem in our school’s community, yet her dedication often goes unnoticed. Despite living hours away, she tirelessly dedicates herself to our education, often staying late. She even goes out of her way to provide us with snacks, allowing us to explore the diverse flavors of Asia. It's undeniable that the removal of Mandarin Chinese and Ms. Chen would mark the beginning of YWLA's downfall. To those who have already graduated from YWLA, it pains me to say that this downfall has already begun.

Ms.Chen is a very sweet lady who makes a large impact on many students who go to YWLA, those in her class, but also many who aren't enrolled. Many of my friends take her class, and would be sad to see not only her, but also the course removed from YWLA curriculum.

Mandarin Chinese was only reason I enrolled my daughter to this school.

Ms. Chen has left a lasting impact on myself as well as other students at YWLA. Ms. Chen saw my growth from 6th grade to senior year and it would be extremely unfair for future students to be neglected this experience due to a statistic.
