We want the Quality of Life (Code Enforcement) and Animal Control Divisions to remain under the Police Department, since it is safer for the employees, gives more authority to employees, provides better training for employees and support for these important services for the citizens of Pine Bluff. Data proves it works better and is the way that progressive cities are providing these services.
I have been meeting with city officials behind closed doors to explain why our code enforcement and animal control officers need the protection of the police department to do their jobs effectively. Keep telling your neighbors why this shift in oversight threatens the safety of the people who serve our community.

Watching this movement grow confirms that I am not the only one worried about the safety of our officers and the wellbeing of our community. Seeing so many people agree that these departments belong under the police gives me real hope that the City Council will finally listen.

My neighborhood was way better off when they had full support. This is just common sense.

The officers need the extra muscle if they are out there alone dealing with aggressive animals or people. Stop playing with our safety.

Way safer to have them under PD authority. Pine Bluff has enough issues without making this change.

Keep them with the police. Animal control needs the backup for sure, seen too many crazy situations around here lately.
