WE ARE CIRCULATING THIS PETITION FOR SIGNATURES SO THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF BLOOMINGTON AND NORMAL, ILLINOIS KNOW THAT WE MUST DEFEND THE POLICE AND NOT DEFUND THE POLICE. IN THESE UNCERTAIN TIMES, IT IS CRITICAL THAT WE THE CITIZENS ARE SAFE AND SECURE IN OUR COMMUNITIES. IF ANYTHING, WE ASK THE COUNCIL AND MAYORS TO INCREASE FUNDING FOR POLICE. THANK YOU.
The City Council thinks they can ignore our demand for safe streets if they just wait for us to go quiet. We are nearly at our goal so push this to everyone you know right now to force them to listen.

The City Council thinks they can ignore our demand for public safety while they entertain reckless ideas about defunding law enforcement. I am done waiting for these officials to wake up so I am taking our growing list of names directly to their offices to show them exactly where the community stands.

The local council thinks they can ignore us while our streets grow less secure by the day. We need to hit that one hundred signature mark right now to show them we are not backing down on funding our police.

Thank you to all of the police officers and support personnel for your service and your sacrifices as you watch over me and my family. May the Angels watch over you and yours.

My mom's father was a deputy sheriff in Michigan back in the 50s and the 60s. Will ALWAYS support the police and ALWAYS have. I know several officers in our local departments, Bloomington, Normal and McLean County Sheriff's Department and I respect and admire them all for the challenging job they face day in and day out.

Maybe it is just a reflection of social media, but hasn't crime in BloNo been on the rise? It seems like an odd time to consider reducing the strength of the police department.
Officers are there for the whole community. I need to know they will be there if needed. Please think carefully before taking drastic, unnecessary action.

Unbelievable! We MUST have good well equipped law enforcers! Without them,,,there is no law, no consequences. I cannot imagine living in a country or world with no laws.

Cities cannot defund police as crime will increase exponentially and police lives and the lives of the public will be in danger. Look at the cities where they have already done this.

Let's increase the funding for better and longer training and better salaries for our men and women in blue.
