The police force is seeing an increased presence of violent gang members in West Orange. Since 2009, 38 of our township police officers have been victims of aggravated assault while performing their duties.
Continuing To Make Sacrifices
West Orange PBA Local #25 have made significant concessions and continue to offer more. They have proposed savings in excess of 2 million dollars to the township for this budgetary year, however these proposals seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

My husband is one of those officers. They work so hard and this is how they get treated? Shame.
West orange is changing and we need our police presence. Do not let this happen.
Just leave them be. 8 officers is way too many to lose at once. Dont do it.
This is ridiculous. We pay enough taxes already and now they want to take away the cops? Keep our streets safe.
Lowest level since the 80s? Are you kidding me. Crime is way different now. We need more boots on the ground not less.
